Worldwide Technologies was founded in February 2006 by two Kentucky business men, Mike Jones (owner of Coles Bend Lumber in Smiths Grove, KY) and Kenny Whitworth (owner of Whitworth Tool in Hardinsburg, KY). The company began operation in a warehousing facility in Bowling Green, KY with 5 employees. In just a few years the company expanded to 50+ employees and hundreds of customers. In March 2010 WWT moved their operations to a 27,000 square foot state of the art facility in Franklin, KY where it now resides with nearly 60 full time employees.

Franklin, KY is located in South Central Kentucky just miles from the Tennessee line.  The location is perfect for industries looking to relocate as it  lies directly between Nashville and Louisville making transit to and from customers and vendors as easy as getting on I-65. The community in Franklin and Simpson County is rich not only in industrial opportunity  and culture but also offers a  

friendly  “down home” spirit in the willingness to help us expand our business. The Industrial Board and the Chamber here are second to none in recruitment and retention. There are no small fish in this pond and that is why we here at WWT are proud to call Franklin, KY our home.
